LaToya Moore’s journey into real estate began in 2015, when she purchased a multi-unit property for her mother. After her mother passed away, she turned it into an Airbnb rental and began educating other people about doing the same. A turning point came when she launched Airbnb Property Management, a business that required her to earn a real estate license. “I took a 2-week accelerated class and passed the real estate exam on my first try,” she recalls. Once word got out, droves of friends and relatives hired her to assist them. It was 2020 and despite the pandemic, she became a top producing agent her first year selling real estate.

Born and raised in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, Moore has a corporate background. She previously worked in accounting, finance, sales and category management in the consumer packaged goods, beauty, aerospace, banking, education and manufacturing industries.

Today she assists first-time buyers and sellers, as well as those looking to relocate, purchase investment property, new construction and short-term rental start-ups in the city and the suburbs. Despite the present marketplace, her business continues to expand and thrive. She recently started the Moore Group to help with that growth and added agent Sheena Manning to her team.

“With real estate I get to explore beautiful homes and see people smile when they find their dream property,” Manning says. “When you have a passion for what you do, you always meet client expectations.”

Moore is excited to have Manning join her team as she pivots to assisting clients looking to ‘fix and flip.’ Although Moore has renovated several properties in the past, she recently became a licensed general contractor and is now working on her fourth renovation.

As a team, Moore and Manning provide clients with a complete package—lenders, attorneys, inspectors and credit experts—to meet their real estate goals within their desired timeframe.
