When she decided to pursue real estate, she made a conscious decision not to restrict her business to a particular area, meaning she now possesses a wealth of knowledge about neighborhoods and suburbs throughout Chicago. “I have lived in the city for 30 years; the city and suburbs are constantly changing,” she shares. “In order to keep up, I study market trends and stay educated on everything from public school ratings, day care centers opening, restaurants and real estate new development sites.” When it comes to marketing, Phelps Hanson invests in all kinds of advertising avenues, especially volunteering, networking and event sponsoring. She’s also always looking for ways to integrate new technologies into her business so that she can better serve her clientele.
