Having gone through the many seasons of the real estate world over the last 25 years, Phoebe Co has the experience to navigate the market for a diverse group of clients in Chicago, North Shore and the northwestern and western suburbs. For Co, who is fluent in English, Chinese and Tagalog, the keys to success are being proactive, leveraging technology and staying up to date on real estate laws. With those tools, she has sailed through real estate’s ups and downs.
Her early career experiences, combined with her desire to help others, led Co to not only realize her calling but also to become a better Realtor. The former graphic designer at a large Philippine real estate development company quickly moved up the ladder to become an advertising and land acquisition manager. “Those jobs left me with artistic flair for applying good design in a home. Buying real estate trained me to be conscientious of the myriad problems, be they legal, physical or technical, facing homeowners and property investors,” Co explains.
To prepare clients for the journey, Co begins with a briefing on what to expect when buying or selling. She also coordinates with the lenders, inspectors, appraisers and real estate agents that all work together for a successful deal. Clients say she can transform “mediocre houses into castles” with her step-by-step marketing ideas, use of technology, social media and constant communication.
Named to Berkshire Hathaway’s President’s Circle and Leading Edge Society and awarded Chicago Magazine’s Five-Star Real Estate Professional status multiple years, Co takes pride in doing things the right way. “I am an advocate for following the code of ethics for Realtors and making sure all contracts are written correctly up to the last dot,” she says. “I make sure clients leave the closing table triumphant and happy.”
In her downtime, Co loves photography and music and plays harmonica, piano and bamboo flute. She enjoys international and local travel and unwinds by watching The Food Channel, HGTV, and real estate streaming shows.
