Eleven years ago, Lyn Harvie earned her real estate license for the sole purpose of learning how to buy investment properties for herself. With a plan to shadow an experienced agent for a couple years to learn the ropes, Harvie enjoyed the industry so much that it turned into her full-time career. “If you had told me back then that I would be selling real estate today, I would not have believed you,” she admits. “I have absolutely no regrets at all about making that decision.”

A broker with Baird & Warner, Harvie assists all types of clients, from first-time homebuyers and international clients relocating to the area to downsizing empty nesters and luxury buyers looking for pied-a-terres. As an immigrant and someone who has moved many times as a child and young adult, she knows all too well the difficulties of transitioning to a new city or country.

Named a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer in 2023, Harvie ranked in the top 1% of Baird & Warner’s brokers, earned Founders Club status and began serving on the company’s goodwill committee at its Lincoln Park office. Recognized for her candor, she believes in being upfront with her clients, setting clear expectations from the beginning of the process. With an 80% referral and repeat-client business, she maintains strong relationships with her clients. “It’s a blessing to play a part in their journey as their lives continue to evolve and grow,” she says. “There is no bigger compliment than when a client comes back to me for their next transaction and I continue to be their go-to person for all things real estate.”

With systems in place to maintain her level of service, Harvie notes she is very process-oriented while still continuing to grow. “I think it’s important to have fun, laugh often and enjoy what I do,” she remarks. “I feel blessed to be able to get up every day and do what I love.”
