Loraine R. Jennings, Vice President of Strategic Growth

Coldwell Banker Realty

Loraine R. Jennings boasts more than three decades of experience. Her journey began in Baltimore and took her to Chicago, where she mastered the market through immersive exploration and community involvement. Jennings’ engineering education laid a strong foundation toward her future endeavors. When faced with possible job loss through acquisition, she found that her initial success flipping a house inspired her to pursue real estate as a career, which has evolved from real estate sales to brokerage ownership to corporate leadership. Jennings has worked with developers for new construction and condo conversions; the Chicago Housing Authority/HUD as an exclusive broker; and was a receiver for the Department of Justice.

Jennings’ business style is rooted in servant leadership. “My agents are my clients,” she says. They praise her for being accessible, knowledgeable and supportive—often likening her to a family member. She is proudest of helping them develop their businesses while running one of the top-performing offices in her company. Her approach has cultivated a robust referral network, driving consistent growth and client loyalty.

A longtime top producer, Jennings was awarded the 2023 President’s Council Manager Award and nominated for the 2023 Agents Choice Award as Industry MVP–Suburbs. Her professional affiliations include a long tenure with the Chicago Association of Realtors’ Professional Standards Committee, being a Certified Mediator with the National Association of Realtors and serving on the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. She is the first African-American woman in Illinois with her credentials and certifications in solar energy.

One of her proudest moments came when her President’s Council Manager Award win was honored with a surprise party from her agents and colleagues. She is deeply involved in philanthropy, sitting on the board of WeGenZ and the American Red Cross as a disaster recovery specialist. She is also a devoted mom to her daughter, “Mini-me” Raven, a senior at the University of Southern California.

Jennings’ journey is one of resilience, dedication and unrelenting passion for empowering others to achieve their highest potential.
