Going above and beyond expectations to sell a property is all in a day’s work for Lisa Zeller-O’Malley. The industry veteran is ranked among the top 1% of agents, based on sales volume, by the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors. She is the top agent at Coldwell Banker Realty’s Elmhurst office and the recipient of her brokerage’s President’s Club award.

“I attribute a great deal of my success to partnering with my daughter and right-hand woman, Mikayla O’Malley, a fourth-generation real estate professional,” says Zeller-O’Malley.

Taking the time to really understand the market, the property itself, and the client’s needs has helped Zeller-O’Malley take her business to the next level. “When listing a property, there are generally many hours, weeks and sometimes years involved in preparing a home to be show-ready,” she says. “I do a lot of legwork and long-term planning with my clients, consistently follow up and offer referrals from my vast roster of trusted collaborators.”

She recently took over a listing that had sat on the market for four years, first listed as “for sale by owner” and then with an agent from a different brokerage. “I brought in painters, artists, rearranged furniture and prepared the home to be best positioned to sell,” she explains. “I listed the property at the same price that the previous agent listed it for, and sold it at list price in one day.”

Zeller-O’Malley mainly serves luxury buyers and sellers in the western suburbs, specializing in Elmhurst, where she has lived for over 30 years and raised three children. She has more than three decades of experience in real estate, thorough knowledge of the market and strong negotiation skills.

When she isn’t selling real estate, Zeller-O’Malley enjoys spending time with friends and family in her hometown of Elmhurst. She also dabbles in interior design.
