After spending a number of years as a TV news producer, Jennifer Piet realized that her true calling was real estate. “I once aspired to be the next Jane Pauley or Katie Couric, but after working in TV news for over five years, I realized real estate was in my blood,” Piet recalls. “I love working with people on a one-on-one basis, and working behind the scenes as a TV producer made this hard to accomplish. Being a Realtor gives me the opportunity to help someone buy and sell one of the most important investments in their lives, and that’s very gratifying.”
Piet’s transition into the business was a seamless one. “My father opened his first brokerage in 1977, so I was born and raised in the business,” she says. “Growing up in the world of real estate, from rehabbing homes and managing rental properties, I learned the impact of a strong work ethic alongside the balance, or juggle, of work and family.”
Nineteen years into the business, Piet has had numerous successes along the way. She has been designated a Chicago Association of Realtors top producer and been honored as an @properties Christie’s International Real Estate top producer, Hall of Fame Realtor and Road to Rolex club member. She also is a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors. “My previous career as a TV news producer has led to many successes as a Realtor,” Piet says. “I can work with pressing deadlines and provide attention to detail, and I know how to help my clients shift and pivot when it comes to changes with clients, the market and technology.”
Piet is an active member of Friends of Pulaski, which supports the Pulaski International School of Chicago, and the Hamlin Park Baseball Association. When not selling real estate, she can be found at a baseball or softball diamond coaching, playing or cheering on her two children.
