Cindy Wilson and Stephanie Biederman met nearly 20 years ago in the new-agent training program at Koenig & Strey (the predecessor to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago). They quickly discovered they had a lot in common; they both had many years of experience in the corporate world and an entrepreneurial spirit that helped them transition quickly to a career in real estate.
Fast friends, they spent many years supporting each other and collaborating on deals before forming a partnership in early 2020, just before the pandemic hit. Undeterred, they spent lockdown devising their business plan and figuring out the best way to leverage each of their talents.
Together the two are equal partners at C+S Group, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago, meeting the needs of buyers, sellers and investors in the city and suburbs. Both have received the BHHS Chairman’s Circle and President’s Circle awards, which recognize the top tier of agents within the BHHS nationwide network.
Wilson’s experience in public relations and corporate communications gave her the skills necessary to become a top-producing broker, while Biederman’s background in national account sales taught her how to effectively close transactions.
Wilson had the soft skills and talent to engage prospective buyers and sellers and endear herself to clients. In her prior career, she had represented commercial real estate investment firms for Edelman Public Relations Worldwide. She also worked for the National Restaurant Association, Feeding America and the McDonald’s Corp. Wilson’s corporate experience gives her empathy for clients’ situations, and in 2022, she was named to Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices’ and Chicago magazine’s “Best of the Best” lists.
Known for her accessibility and responsiveness, Biederman reports that her clients praise her for her knowledge, effective communication and solution-oriented approach. She currently serves as the president of the board of directors for the Lakeview Roscoe Village Chamber of Commerce and serves on the board of Friends of Lakeview.
