Amy Sunshine, Advisor & Real Estate Broker

Engel & Völkers Chicago

As a child, Amy Sunshine always enjoyed tagging along on sales calls with her Realtor mom. “It always looked exciting and different from day to day, which interested me,” she remembers. She also loved seeing how people lived. After gaining experience in sales and customer service positions, she decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and go into real estate.

“I am very dedicated to my clients,” says Sunshine, an advisor and real estate broker with Engel & Völkers Chicago. “I treat them all the way I like to be treated and the way they should expect to be treated. My goal is to assist them with the purchase or sale (sometimes both) of their homes, not push them into something to get to the next deal.”

During her 24 years in the industry, she has earned multiple top-producer awards while assisting buyers and sellers, from first-time to luxury, in the greater Chicago area. Always excited to promote the city’s bustling neighborhoods, she knows the areas well. Sunshine has lived in Lakeview and Streeterville and has called Roscoe Village home for the past 14 years.

Thoughtful, kind and dedicated to helping clients achieve their real estate goals, she listens more than she speaks and has a natural ability to connect with clients on a more personal level. Those connections have resulted in her business’s being based mostly on referrals.

Recently, Sunshine served on a committee for the Alzheimer’s Association’s “Illinois Women Conquer Alzheimer’s” movement to help with the largest fundraiser of the year. The event raised more than $460,000 and had a sold-out crowd of 511 people. The cause is important to her, as she lost her father to the disease a couple of years ago.

When not selling real estate, she loves to walk outside, strength train, do Pilates and hike in such far-off locations as Mont Blanc and Machu Picchu.
