For Alessandro Madonia, senior mortgage advisor at Preferred Rate, which is partnered with American Pacific Mortgage, 17 years in the mortgage industry have taught him the value of what is commonly known as the Golden Rule.

“My business style is simple,” Madonia says of his thought process. “I just ask myself how I’d want to be treated if I were the one buying a home.” In the last year, Madonia maintained his high level of commitment to his clients and referral partners, which earned him American Pacific’s Presidents Club status. Now in his 10th year of Who’s Who and his 11th year winning the Five Star Mortgage Professional award, he says he’s learned a few things about how to continue growing and excelling in his industry.

“My job is about over-exceeding customer expectations,” Madonia explains. “I have exceptional communication skills and a great work ethic, and I set the bar high for myself and my team to be fully accountable on everything we do for clients. I emphasize the importance of aligning client aspirations with actionable steps in a well-defined, tailored game plan for every client I speak to. It is the road map for guiding every client’s decision and action toward achieving their dream of owning a home within their budget and comfort level.”

Outside of work, Madonia likes spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and two children, Alessandro and Adriano. He also enjoys volunteering in the community, golfing, biking and lifting weights. “If there’s anything this industry has taught me,” he says, “it’s to always make time for yourself and your family.”
