Sally Chang, Real Estate Broker

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate

Always there for clients when they need her, Sally Chang has a reputation for being timely and responsive.

Backed by a decade of experience in public relations, Chang, a real estate broker with @properties Christie’s International Real Estate, brings excellent communication and negotiation skills to every transaction. She assists first-time buyers, sellers and investors, listening to each client’s needs and encouraging the person to make decisions based on the information she provides.

“I always put my client’s best interest as my priority,” she proclaims. “My goal is not to work with my clients for a single transaction, but to build a long-term relationship.”

She walks beside her clients every step of the way, knowing her job is not complete until they close the transaction and attend to all the details that follow. “I want my clients to feel 100% comfortable from beginning to end,” she says, noting successful transactions are based on trust. “Buying or selling a home can be stressful. Working with an agent you trust can make a huge difference.”

Chang began her real estate career five years ago — a career that allows her to interact with people, which she loves, and improve upon her communication skills. The work schedule also gives her the flexibility to look after her young sons, ages 7 and 9.

Chang moved to the United States from Taiwan 13 years ago and settled down in the northwestern suburbs, where she resides today. Through referrals and repeat clients, she has done a lot of business in the northwestern suburbs and in the city, particularly the Loop and Lakeview neighborhoods.

“I speak Chinese (Mandarin),” she says. “Many of my clients feel more comfortable during the whole process when we are speaking the same language.”

Outside of work, Chang volunteers as co-principal of Chicago Northwest Suburban Chinese School and enjoys practicing Taekwondo with her older son.
