“I have a lifetime of summers spent in Lake Geneva,” says agent James Larson. “It is a community that is part of my family history, and the experiences and memories are being passed down to my children.”
Growing up in Chicagoland and spending summers in southern Wisconsin’s lake area gave Larson a firsthand look at the dynamics and characteristics of the summer home property markets. It also gave him an insider perspective on what buyers are looking for in terms of local amenities and attractions.
A former derivatives trader, Larson loves to analyze values and has a passion for negotiation. After the financial crash of 2008, a friend invited Larson to assist with a long list of clients who needed to sell their homes. The rest is history. “Working through that and seeing how much people need the help and direction of trained professionals really hooked me,” he says.
Larson has learned throughout his 22 years of experience in the real estate industry that people have two ears and one mouth for a reason. “If you are patient and listen, people will tell you everything you need to know,” he says.
While Larson has extensive experience working on teams, he now leads his own team: Jlarsongroup with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. “Leading my own group has given me exposure to many different mindsets of brokers out there,” he says. “I draw positive traits from all my experiences and would like to think I have created a unique approach to business that many find of value.”
