Olivia Motofelea, Broker Associate

Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty

Sharp social media presence, personal branding, and a calm, cool demeanor that de-stresses any client are part of how Olivia Motofelea, broker associate with Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty (JSIR) found her niche in the Chicagoland real estate market. Now living and working in the Chicago area for a decade, Motofelea’s approach sees clients through the most important transaction of their lives while ensuring that they feel protected and cared for like a personal friend.

“The pandemic-era market has been a great thing for sellers, but a headache for buyers,” she says. “Deescalating stressful negotiations and partnering with quality lenders to take advantage of historically low rates, coupled with doing my homework as an agent and moving fast on perfect properties has helped my clients afford their first homes despite all these factors.”

Pulling most of her business today from referrals and networking, Motofelea says her authenticity, optimism and attention to detail help her clients feel level-headed while making the most important purchase of their lives. “Those things make me relatable and build trust and rapport with clients.”

An avid runner, Motofelea says her active life with family and friends was even more so inspired by the lessons of 2020 and the pandemic. “It certainly taught me to always make time for your family, because suddenly we weren’t able to see each other for quite awhile and that stuck with me.”

Priorities in order personally and professionally, Motofelea leaves her mark on clients with a fun and easy going spirit that’s underpinned by a calm and strategic intelligence that guides transactions from start to finish.

“Buying and selling is an emotional process, and I certainly absorb some of my clients’ stress, but I never show it,” she says. “It’s vital to master managing the processes until the transaction comes to a close so that clients feel supported throughout the process.”
