James R. Tausché, Senior Vice President of Residential Lending

Draper and Kramer Mortgage Corp.

In a career spanning nearly three decades, James Tausché has experienced every facet of the mortgage industry. Since entering the business in the early ’90s, he has worked in both inside and outside sales and owned and managed his own successful mortgage company for 10 years. He sold his company to Draper and Kramer Mortgage in 2009 and joined the firm as a senior vice president of residential lending. Tausché is a perennial member of DKMC’s President’s Club for top-producing mortgage originators and ranks in the top 1% of all originators nationwide.

Tausché’s mission is to provide exceptional service and value to all his clients. His success hinges on the invaluable relationships he builds with customers and professional partners alike. “I’m not only a trusted, experienced advisor to my clients but also someone who truly keeps their best interest at heart,” he says. “Our reputation is built on being fast, efficient and transparent, and we’re available 24/7.”

Constant communication is key to Tausché’s process. “Buying a home can be stressful, but knowing your financing is moving forward without issue helps alleviate that stress,” he says. “Constant communication goes beyond just the homebuyer to include all parties in the transaction. When everyone knows where things stand, the process is smoother and everyone is comfortable. That’s one of the many benefits my invaluable team of professionals and I strive to provide, and it’s why we’ve never missed a closing date in over 25 years.”

Tausché works with a wide range of borrowers, including first-time buyers, high-net-worth investors, real estate agents, attorneys, builders and financial planners. He primarily serves those in Chicagoland but is also licensed in several other states to better serve his clients across the country.

Outside of the office, Tausché is an avid golfer; tennis enthusiast; lifelong Cubs, Bears, Hawks and Bulls fan; devoted husband; proud father; and walking companion to his two black labs, Henry and Hunter.
