Abby Powell, Broker

Dream Town Realty

Working tirelessly to ensure her clients’ happiness, Abby Powell gives 110% in every transaction. “I love creating long-lasting relationships with people,” says Powell, a broker with Dream Town Realty. “I want clients past, present and future to know that they can always rely on me as a friend and as their Realtor. If it’s real estate-related or not, I’m always just a phone call away.”

Specializing in Logan Square, Edison Park, Norwood Park and her hometown of Park Ridge, Powell serves buyers, sellers, investors and landlords, many of whom come from referrals. Known for her patience and accessibility, she enables her clients to feel confident in their decisions and safe enough to ask questions.

Starting out almost three years ago, Powell more than doubled her business between her first and second years on the job, resulting in over 13 transactions and more than $4 million in sales between 2018 and 2019.

Before becoming a broker in 2017, Powell worked as a sales representative for a digital marketing company that showcased commercial and multifamily real estate with interactive 360-degree virtual tours and high-end photography. Through photographing and participating in the various creative elements of the real estate process, she became enamored with the industry and soon changed careers. “I was given the opportunity to sell a friend’s west Logan Square condo,” says Powell of the event that launched her business. “I was able to immerse myself in the neighborhood and realized I had a ton of opportunities to both maximize my client’s return on their investment and bring additional buyers into the area.”

Powell serves on the board of the Norwood Park Chamber of Commerce, and she and her rescue bully breed, Stout, form an ambassador team for Safe Humane Chicago. She also organizes fundraising events for other animal rescue organizations within the community and enjoys trying out new restaurants around town.
