Brokers gathered for a lunch and learn event at Coldwell Banker Hyde Park where they had the opportunity to meet Ben Slayton, the first black member of the National Association of Realtors. Now president of Legacy Home Loans, Slayton shared details of how he was able to persevere — and even thrive — as a real estate professional during the Civil Rights era.
