Jelynn Owens, Realtor, Keller Williams Preferred, Orland Park

by Chicago Agent

Number of years in real estate:
Licensed in 2018 and full time for two years.

Describe your look:
I’m trendy with a dash of classic.

What do you consider a “fashion don’t”?
Over-accessorizing. Sometimes cute, dainty jewelry and a simple belt will elevate your look.

What style has come back into fashion that shouldn’t have?
Crop tops. We need full-length shirts.

What item of clothing gets you the most compliments?
My black gaiter boots from Zara.

What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past?
In 2004, the trend was bodycon dresses, large purses, chunky jewelry and platform heels. Although it was fun, the look was too much.

Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands?
I love Zara, ASOS, Mango, Revolve and Free People.

What fashion accessory do you feel naked without?
Earrings and my watch.

What decade or time period had the best fashion?
I would say the ’90s women’s workwear. The tweed blazers, high-waisted trousers and formfitting dresses are still in style today.

What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired?
A tennis bracelet from my late grandmother.

What item in your closet do you wear the most?
I would say my black Zara blazer. I could dress it up with trousers and dress it down with jeans.

Does your style reflect your personal brand? If so, how?
Yes, my style reflects my brand. I’m trendy yet classic and bold and vibrant.

Who is your style icon?
Beyoncé.

Any style advice for people in the industry?

Wear what you feel most comfortable in. Don’t be afraid to show your personality with your outfits.
