If you were to give an “outstanding achievement” award to somebody in the real estate industry, who would it be and why?

by Chicago Agent

Adam L. Dontz

VP, Acquisitions & Government Relations
Gladstone Special Asset Solutions
North Aurora

I would award David V. Bolger, founder and president of Gladstone Builders & Developers, for many reasons. First, his success in a down market; Gladstone saw a sales increase of 130 percent in a targeted community Q1-Q3 of this year over all of last year. He is also the first builder in the area to create a broker liaison position, and he applied success strategies to create a new division, Gladstone Special Asset Solutions, which can impact the local market by benefiting lenders, municipalities and, ultimately, consumers

Realtor
Jameson – The Miller Group
Lincoln Park

Jim Miller of Jameson Real Estate gets my vote. In this tough market, Jim has taught me to build relationships with my clients, and to work with them in a long-term fashion. He has taught me to take a service-oriented approach that takes care of clients from start to finish. Jim has mentored me in the intricacies of lead generation and showed me a variety of ways to utilize the Internet as a primary marketing tool, both to find and service clients.

MARSHA ULBRICH
AGENT
RE/MAX UNLIMITED NORTHWEST
LAKE ZURICH

I would give the award to Dave and Gail Liniger, founders of RE/MAX International. They revolutionize the industry with their maximum commission concept and attract the industryÕs best and most experienced agents. RE/MAX continues to be agent focused, letting agents get leads and referrals from around the world with no intermediary or fee attached. They offer first-class training, have the most popular consumer real estate Web site among real estate companies and are very philanthropic, giving back to the community through organizations originated by the company.

Scott Singer
Broker Associate
Century 21 Advisors
Arlington Heights

Susan Hanson should definitely be nominated for this award. Susan entered into the real estate profession at the lowest possible time in this market. She never let that phase her. In her short (less than two years) career she now represents multiple builders of new construction as well as listing apartment complexes. She didnÕt care how deep the water was- she jumped in and currently has over 75 listings and is a top salesperson with Century 21 Advisors. The veterans in the business consult her on how to improve their business!
