A Michigan native, Nicole Fabiano packed up 12 years ago to begin her real estate career in South Florida, watching the Fort Lauderdale and Miami skylines flourish, until their devastating crash in 2006. After personally having to deal with her first short sale, and finding it to be an excruciating, eight-month process, Fabiano set a goal to spare others from what she went through and to show distressed homeowners there is a better option than foreclosure. She moved to Chicago two years ago with nearly four years of short sale negotiating experience behind her and set out to open Home Solutions, Inc., A Full Service Short Sale Company. “I have helped hundreds of homeowners nationwide avoid foreclosure,” says Fabiano, who saw the need for knowledge of short sales in the Chicagoland area. Her company helps homeowners, Realtors and attorneys streamline the short sale process by negotiating their short sales and getting them closed in an average of 60 to 90 days.

With a plethora of invites to speak at seminars nationwide and radio shows, Fabiano has become known as Chicago’s local short sale specialist. “My future goal is to educate as many distressed homeowners on the benefits of a short sale versus foreclosure. There is a lack of quality information out there and far too many people that try to take advantage of those who are experiencing tough times,” she says. Fabiano is also an active member of CAR and WCR, as well as an avid yoga and cooking enthusiast.
