Mimi Luna never stops working. As a broker for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, she has worked in residential real estate since 2013, and before that, in the mortgage industry since 2002. With her sharp negotiating skills and expert-level knowledge of the Chicago and western suburban markets, Luna excels at working with move-up and first-time homebuyers as well as investors.
In 2016, Luna was able to maintain sales at $11 million and had a sale-to-list ratio of 99 percent. “I was able to create a buying frenzy for my sellers and had multiple occasions where my listings broke record pricing,” she says. “In Brookfield and La Grange Park, properties sold in record time for the highest price per square foot.” IR’A a feat she attributes in part to the combination of her outgoing personality and business acumen.
Luna was elected to the 2017 board of directors for the city’s chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, joined the Coldwell Banker International President’s Circle, and ranked among the top five agents in her office for volume and among the top two for buyers’ sales in 2016.
In addition to her National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals membership, Luna is a member of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors as well as the National, Illinois and Chicago chapters of the Association of Realtors. She also volunteers with the Coldwell Banker Charitable Foundation and Special Spaces, an organization dedicated to creating dream bedrooms for children with terminal illnesses.
In her spare time, Luna loves to travel, shop, meet new people and spend as much time in the ocean as possible during the summer. Though she is dedicated to her real estate career, Luna puts her family first. “I have an amazingly smart and beautiful daughter who is majoring in pre-medicine; two loving sons; and a handsome, supportive husband,” she says. “He is the Jay-Z to my Beyoncé, and anywhere with them is always the perfect moment. Life is grand!”
