Magdalena “Mags” Lybolt
Principle Broker and Co-founder
LifStyl Real Estate and Prime Real Estate
LifStyl Real Estate and Prime Real Estate, founded by Magadalena “Mags” Lybolt and her husband, has grown quickly in recent years and shows no signs of slowing down. Last year, Prime Real Estate was listed as No. 900 on INC 5,000’s fastest growing companies in America. “We’ve grown by 100 percent year over year, now serving hundreds of real estate brokers and growing every day,” Lybolt says with excitement. She received the Outstanding Sales Achievement Platinum Units Award and the Gold Volume Award for Sales within Chicago from the Chicago Association of Realtors last year.
Though she runs a successful real estate company today, Lybolt didn’t start out in the industry. She originally worked as an executive-level marketing director and flipped houses on the side with her now husband, Joshua. “We did really well with it and became model citizens to our friends and colleagues in that industry,” she recalls.
Before she knew it, she had a constant flow of investors working with her, and eventually she moved towards bigger investments and development. Her transition to the role of principal broker came from her observations of the industry she was beginning to enter. “I decided to enter into the principal broker role when I realized that most companies from my experience were all the same,” she says. “They provided false promises and insufficient support and training, while treating their agents like a paycheck.”
Lybolt modeled her company to solve these problems, she says, in order to provide a better quality of life for all of her real estate agents. Lybolt also gives back to the community through her company’s own in-house foundation. “We take great pride in knowing our successes have been a result of care and compassion of others,” she says. “Our need to continually give back to our communities and those individuals around us drives our company to focus on curating the love for contribution on behalf of our agents.” After having two boys of her own, her passion for improving childhood development now drives her personal charitable initiatives.
