When Julie Busby and Christine Lutz met five years ago while working on a high-volume luxury real estate team in Chicago, their soon-to-be partnership began to take form. They each went on to work with top developers in the city before later returning to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and officially becoming selling partners. Their collective experience is notable with more than 40 years in the industry and a combined $1.5 billion in sales. “We both have a passion to help our clients and strive to be the best at our craft,” Lutz says. “It’s a natural fit when we collaborate together and create a synergy that will ultimately help our clients realize their dreams. Our goal is to create a personalized boutique experience with a high level of involvement from both of us on every listing we take and every buyer we represent,” Busby adds.

You might say that Lutz was born to be in real estate. The daughter of a successful real estate development executive, she has been involved with the industry since high school. Her vast experience includes sales from across the country, spanning from residential sales to new, large-scale development projects.

Busby is a real estate force of her own. Her career began in California, where the first listing she helped market was priced at $23 million — though she has continued to cover markets across the board, no matter the price point. “Resale is important to me, whether it’s for my investor client or my first-time homebuyer.” After putting up top producer numbers in her first year in Chicago real estate, she has been a top 1 percent Chicago broker from year 3 and on.  With just shy of $25 million in sales in 2016 — 50 percent buyers, 50 percent sellers — Busby was named a member of the President’s Club at Coldwell Banker.

Together, the duo boasts a résumé of clients comprised of buyers and sellers in markets that stretch throughout Chicagoland, including areas from West Loop to Gold Coast and South Loop to Evanston. “Each individual client requires a unique set of skills and we pride ourselves on tailoring our skill sets on a case-by-case basis ensuring each client’s needs are met,” Busby explains.
