Art Collazo
Vice President, Sales
Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty
A 23-year industry veteran, Art Collazo has been devoted to real estate for his entire professional career. As Vice President, Sales at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, Collazo is one of the few agents at the company working in both commercial and residential real estate. “Typically I serve a few different type of clients, including luxury residential buyers and sellers, luxury property developers, and commercial property developers and investors. I specialize in off-market properties,” he explains. “I’m one of Jameson’s few hybrid agents, which means my clients are both commercial and residential.”
Last year, his biggest sales accomplishments were finalizing the sales of multiple redevelopment sites for Sedgwick Properties and other developers, he says. As the sales agent for Bentham, Sedgwick Properties’ new luxury condominium building at 146 W. Erie St., he worked closely with the architects and design team. By collaborating with the design and construction teams, Collazo gains unique knowledge of a whole different side of the industry, which his clients often find extremely valuable.
“My developer and sales clients recognize that I’m incredibly knowledgeable about the industry, construction, design — and what makes properties most marketable,” he says. “My buyer clients often say I have a good eye for detail, I’m knowledgeable and responsive, and I can help them identify both challenges and positive attributes of properties.”
Whether he’s working with a commercial or a residential client, Collazo begins the sales process before even meeting them. “I complete a great deal of upfront work and research,” he says. Not only do his clients notice his success when it comes to finding the right properties, Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty does as well. Collazo has been one of the company’s top 10 producers every year of his career.
Collazo draws his greatest inspiration and joy from his children and considers them to be his greatest accomplishment. The father of three also enjoys giving back to the community and is currently training for a 200-mile East Coast bike race to raise money for Young Survival Coalition for Cancer.
