Together, Brian Jensen, the Midwest regional manager of loanDepot’s Mortgage Master, and his team of branch managers – Brett Lotsoff, Jorden Brok, and Joshua Jones – represent nearly 80 years of lending experience. “We serve the needs of our homebuyers, regardless of the price, size, or location of the property,” Jensen says. “We are here to help everyone who walks in the door.”
The head of Mortgage Master’s Midwestern market, Brian Jensen has more than two decades of experience. “I’ve basically learned on the job, serving 25 years on the front lines,” he says. Throughout his career and the billions in funding he’s helped homeowners secure, Jensen has worked with a variety of clients, from inexperienced buyers to self-employed borrowers. He says that it’s prepared him for “just about anything,” which is an advantage for his clients as well as the professionals he mentors and manages. “I head a large team of experienced top producers,” he says. “When they have a problem, I know it must be a particularly difficult situation. I am here to help find solutions, and we usually do.” Under Jensen’s management, his Midwest team has grown its volume by 700 percent in only three years.
Branch Manager Brett Lotsoff is a New York University School of Law graduate, who practiced corporate law at a large national firm before joining Mortgage Master. He says his legal background helps him condense and simplify the mortgage process, making life easier for his clients, who come seeking all types of loan products. “Throughout my career, I’ve handled all types of mortgage financing scenarios,” he says, and notes that jumbo loans, accounting for a sizable portion of his business, could be considered his specialty. Lotsoff says his clients all want the same thing: “the best deal structure, loan program, interest rate and closing costs possible.” And he delivers.
Twenty-year industry veteran and Branch Manager Jorden Brok landed in lending, he says, because he was attracted to the job’s flexibility. As his career developed, Brok recognized how uniquely positioned he was to dictate his own success: “There are not many fields where you can really create your own future.” Like the rest of his team, he works with a variety of clients, requiring flexibility and expertise spanning a range of needs. “You just do the right things,” he explains. “If you set expectations accordingly and are genuinely interested in your clients, you cannot fail.” It is an approach that has kept Brok in the top 200 of all loan officers nationwide for the last 10 years.
Since joining Mortgage Master in Feb. 2014 as co-managers, Brok and Lotsoff have grown their group to 17 talented loan officers, and continue to seek top talent.
Joshua Jones has 11 years in the industry, and in that time has been named one of MySuburbanLife.com’s “Top 40 Under 40” and a Chicago Agent Who’s Who selection every year since 2014. His motto, “treat others as you would like to be treated,” is a rule he’s held to steadfastly with each new client. “I always put myself in my clients’ shoes,” he says. When Jensen offered Jones the chance to manage his own branch more than two years ago, he seized the opportunity ¬– and the results have been booming growth. “Our Park Ridge office team has doubled in loan production since 2013,” he says. “Being part of this team makes me proud.”
