“Have it all!” Those are the words of wisdom that Judy Gibbons offers each of her clients. This New York fashion business owner turned Chicago Realtor powerhouse wants only the best for them. After all, Gibbons considers herself the link between their present and future as she helps people move from one residence to the next. Whether listing a property for a seller who wants to right size from a luxury dwelling or creatively promoting a homeowner’s country estate, she makes her clients’ needs her top priority. “I’m very determined to help my clients and my relationship with them is what’s most important because I consider us a team.”

Entrepreneurship is in Gibbons’ blood. The daughter of a self-made man who also enjoyed developing real estate, he started his first business out of the trunk of his car. Gibbons learned at an early age that “quality is paramount” when it comes to this industry. In addition, delivering unparalleled customer service has led to a strong reputation within the industry as well as a relationship-based business. “I just met with a seller the other day who said, ‘I’m so happy to meet you because I’ve heard so much about you!’” she recalls. That kind of priceless advertising has made her a leading name among the city’s Realtors and attracted more than 20,000 social media followers.

First and foremost a listing agent, Gibbons says, “My favorite phone call is ‘we have an offer’” because she knows what it means to the seller. She aims to get each property sold in the optimal amount of time possible for the highest possible price. Doing so requires thinking outside of the box to attract serious buyers, but Gibbons is more than up to the challenge. Take, for instance, the time she had her seller, an amateur songwriter, pen a tune about his house. That stroke of marketing genius drew the attention of WGN-Radio.

The mother of three young adult daughters, Gibbons says she wants them to know that there is no limit to what they can achieve. Setting the example, she is one of Jameson Sotheby’s Top 30 Realtors and ranks among the Chicago Association of Realtors’ top producers. She is also a member of the National and Illinois Association of Realtors, a major donor to the Realtor Political Action Committee as well as the committee chair for programing and education for The Women’s Council of Realtor’s for Chicago and the state of Illinois. While she credits her managing broker Jim Miller for his amazing mentorship, Gibbons also never loses sight of how their agency has enabled her career to soar to new heights. “My affiliation with Jameson Sotheby’s has literally changed my business because the firm and its people are so highly respected,” she states. “Thanks to that fact, I’ve seen my average sales price increase from $500,000 to over $1 million.” Judy wants to continue to nurture her relationships and assist her clients, friends and family because at the end of the day that’s what really matters most.
