To Signature Staging Owner David Cieslak, all the world’s a stage, especially the world inside a home. In 2013, Cieslak and his team staged and sold over $55 million in Chicago real estate with an average market time of 26 days. In 2014, they have already exceeded last year’s first quarter numbers by 25 percent.
“The market has been so hot this year, some of our staging projects sell in as little as a day,” he says. “The difference is we have access to inventory that you will not see in any other listings. Each listing is not only unique, but memorable.”
Cieslak created Signature Staging after he realized the difference staging can make in a home’s selling time. He combined his interior design degree with his interest in real estate and honed in on a service that would be beneficial to both sellers and agents alike.
“We are here to assist homeowners around the Chicago area in the preparation of putting their home on the market and accelerating sales,” Cieslak says. “Staging a property increases the marketability of a home, buyer appeal and ultimately profits for my clients. We take our job very seriously, and always work as a team with the broker and homeowner.”
Cieslak’s services range from applying a fresh coat of paint to an entire home remodel and everything in between: updating and repairing; removal of items; and cleaning while showcasing furniture, accessories, art and light. He and his talented team offer real estate expertise and creative design talents to capture the attention of potential buyers and help increase traffic to a home.
“Given that we work with a lot of occupied listings, the before and after can be night and day for our clients,” Cieslak says. “We frequently get compliments on the final product, but telling us how easy the process felt or how quickly the home went under contract is the best compliment we receive.”
