Broker | Owner
Kale Realty West
Known for his attention to detail and expertise, David Bovyn was a natural fit for his life as a broker/owner.
“You really can write your own script when it comes to real estate,” he says. “Nothing has ever been off limits, and still isn’t to this day. If someone comes to me with an idea, I am always willing to try it. I believe the most important factor in running a successful office is listening to your agents and trying new things.”
This entrepreneurial mindset led the 29-year- old to be recognized as the Chicago Association of Realtors’ 2011 Rookie of the Year for its central division. Now, as head of his own office with hopes of opening additional Kale offices, he capitalizes on his ability to mentor new agents and bring them to the top of their profession.
“Our team is trustworthy, honest and reliable,” he says. “We provide information swiftly and cater to each individual client’s needs. Personally, I’m always available via phone, email or text to ensure that my clients have the best possible experience.”
As a member of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors, Bovyn recognizes the importance of making strong, meaningful connections with industry professionals, as well as with potential clients.
“I feel like a career in real estate is similar to other customer service positions,” he says. “Every salesperson has their forte, and mine is talking with people on the phone. I’ve built my business getting listings that way, but also spend a lot of time making follow-up calls, writing thank you notes and birthday and anniversary cards! It’s the little things that make a difference.”
