Sam Sharp believes that although Guaranteed Rate is a national company, his personal touch is what attracts referral business. The senior vice president of mortgage lending has been a top producer for a decade, and his interest in his clients and his ability to be there for them through the whole process is the key to his success.

“I love being able to take the time to meet my clients in person,” Sharp says. “I take pride in my business and my company. I attend the majority of my closings and I am always available for my clients and Realtor partners.”

Sharp also takes the time to stay educated about the industry – though it is constantly changing, he strives to stay informed so he can offer the best possible options to his clients. He has ranked as a top producing loan officer for more than two-thirds of his career, with the majority of his business originating from purchase production. In the past 10 years, he has represented more than 40 developments as lender of choice, and he aims to further increase that number. He has recently partnered with Sergio & Banks and Noah Properties to help assist with the financing for their developments.

“It’s a snowball effect – if you focus on your business and provide quality service, then you are rewarded with further growth and opportunity,” he says. “Buying a home can be one of the largest investments that someone will make in their life, and I am in charge of making sure this is a positive process. There
is a human element that many people forget when dealing with financial transactions, and when you take a moment to think about the effect that you have on family’s lives, it’s an overwhelming feeling, and it makes me proud to be part of it.”
