Some Realtors spend their whole careers searching for the perfect brokerage. Josh Weinberg and Tommy Choi did something different: they started their own.

Now, six years later, the results speak for themselves. Not only are the pair top producers in the city, they have also taken on leadership roles within the industry. Weinberg is the current chair of the Professional Development Committee for the Chicago Association of Realtors (CAR), and Choi was installed onto CAR’s board of directors in 2012.

Surrounding themselves with other successful people has always been a part of the pair’s philosophy.

“Early on in my real estate career, I made it a point to constantly meet with other practicing agents in the market,” Choi says. “Whether they were just beginning their career or were seasoned veterans of the industry, I found time to grab coffee or lunch with them to share and learn from each other.”

Weinberg, on the other hand, learned real estate from the ground up while working for a Fortune 200 homebuilder.

“I was able to learn every aspect of the business,” he says, “and the information that I was taught has helped me understand how to be successful.”

Looking ahead, expect to see Weinberg and Choi in the company of more top talent as they continue to build their team and grow their business. The two have already been featured on “House Hunters” on HGTV – more good things will surely follow!
