In addition to his cultural knowledge, Cárdenas has vast experience in all financial matters. He has worked extensively in title insurance and mortgage lending on all sides of the transactional process. Prior to joining The Federal Savings Bank, Cárdenas was a partner in a large mortgage firm for 10 years, a position that made him responsible for all facets of the business, including residential and commercial loan origination, corporate training, regulatory compliance, vendor relations and sales management.

“My years of experience working with real estate attorneys and other financial specialists has afforded me a large network of competent professionals with whom I have the ability to consult regarding intricate title, financial and lending matters,” Cárdenas says. “I believe this is what continues to set me apart in the industry.”

Cárdenas continues to approach his mortgage business in a tireless fashion – he is always enrolled in continuing education courses and seminars to stay up on new trends in lending – and in his free time, he is working on a book that educates minority groups on the basic tenets of banking and the impact of responsible borrowing.
