Mack Alsaidi’s drive to provide exceptional service to his clients is rooted in his own struggle to achieve the American Dream.
“I worked two full-time jobs while attending school full time,” he explains. “When my mother and sister and I finally saved enough to buy our first home, the feeling of accomplishment and pride was almost overwhelming. I knew I wanted to help others achieve that feeling too.”
His willingness to go the extra mile for all of his clients earned Alsaidi the top producer award in 2012, and he was part of a team that received a top 1 percent award in 2013; both awards were presented by the Chicago Association of REALTORS.
Alsaidi credits much of his success to his love of learning and desire to reach beyond his comfort zone. Those attributes propel him to continually seek new opportunities in real estate, such as serving on the Board of Trustees for the Chicago Association of Realtors Education Fund, the Advisory Board for Chicago Association Realtors YPN, and the Executive Board for the Women’s Council of Realtors Chicago Chapter.
Alsaidi’s determination to push past boundaries reaches beyond his professional endeavors. Nothing demonstrates that better than his decision to work for the U.S. military as a cultural advisor and linguist in Iraq in 2006. Alsaidi’s dedication earned him the Commander’s Award for Civilian Service and the Achievement Medal for Civilian Service from the U.S. Army.
“Even though my work with the Army briefly interrupted my real estate career, I wouldn’t trade the experience for the world,” he said. “Working as an interpreter allowed me to hone my listening and negotiating skills. Now, instead of facilitating communication between Iraqi citizens and American soldiers, I put my expertise to work brokering the best deals for my clients.”
