Although Kelly Demers works with a wide range of buyers, as a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, she takes great pleasure in helping veterans. “I dedicate a lot of time to serving those who have served us,” she says.

She specializes in VA jumbo loans and traditional jumbo loans for clients throughout Chicagoland. One of her clients was a recently retired veteran who had been in the Army for 24 years and relocated his family to Chicago. Demers helped him purchase a condo with a VA mortgage, and because of the complications with the property, Demers had to use her special expertise to get the condo VA approved.

“I was proud that I was able to be helpful in getting this war veteran into a new home,” she says.
Demers started in the real estate industry in 2000 as an agent and developer, then later entered the mortgage side of the business. Since becoming one of PERL Mortgage’s vice presidents of residential lending, she has a strategic growth plan for her career, and is confident she will triple her business in the next two years. With a referral rate of 95 percent, Demers is on track to meet all her goals.
“I don’t believe in surprises,” she says. “I do what I say I’m going to do, plus 1 percent more.”

Outside of real estate, she is active in the Wilmette community where she lives. “I’m now a true soccer mom. I coach at the Wilmette Park District, and love every minute.”
