In his role as president of the Chicago Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.), Matt Farrell has been the president to watch, as he has engaged members across generations, especially amongst young professionals since his involvement in 2009.

“I was never asked to get involved at C.A.R., but once I learned how to do so, I immediately found rewarding relationships and gained greater knowledge of our industry from working with fellow REALTORS® and association staff alike,” Farrell says.

C.A.R.’s first Young Professionals Network (YPN) chairman caught the eye of colleagues across the country for his ability to engage and reach out. With fellow members, he has raised the bar on the importance of advocacy and investing in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), as well as emphasized the need for increased cooperation and professionalism among REALTORS®.

“Technology has brought our businesses many advantages, both in how we serve our clients and in the tools we can use to be better practitioners,” Farrell adds.

As the managing partner of Urban Real Estate, a boutique luxury firm in Chicago, Farrell leverages technology and his industry relationships to provide the best experience for his firm’s clients and brokers.
