Rebecca Thomson is well-known throughout Chicago’s real estate industry. She quickly established herself as one of Chicago’s premier residential experts, both through her extensive industry leadership and her thriving business.

This year, Thomson was honored as one of the National Association of Realtors “30 Under 30.” She also chairs the Illinois Young Professionals Network, serves on the board of directors for the Chicago Association of Realtors, and, in 2013, served as president of the Chicago Women’s Council of Realtors. For Thomson, that involvement gives her an edge.

“I have a pulse on the market, both locally and nationally, so I can anticipate and explain complex policy and economic issues, and have the resources to get the facts and to get the deal done,” she says.

Thomson began her real estate career in 2006, and since then, has made key moves to consistently elevate her game and to ensure her clients receive the best service.

“That’s what [my clients] expect and deserve: the best marketing, best service and the best support,” she says. “I am their Realtor for life, and my continued success comes from taking calculated risks and thinking outside the box.”

Thomson recently started a new role with @properties, where she is responsible for creating and implementing training and business development initiatives for the company’s 1,500 agents.

“My role is not simply maintaining the status quo; it is about elevating an organization to confront the future head-on, and to address the challenges they are facing today, and to anticipate what is needed for the future,” she says.

Outside of real estate, Thomson serves on boards for both the Union League Club of Chicago and the Step Up Women’s Network.
