Helen Sobel has a reputation for doing what she says she’s going to do and having integrity—values that have taken her far in real estate.

Sobel, a Realtor with Baird & Warner, ranks among the Chicago Association of Realtors 2022 to 2023 Top Producers and has appeared among Chicago Agent magazine’s Who’s Who list the past three years.

“I was a litigation paralegal when my parents and siblings asked me to work with them in their new construction business in the suburbs,” she says. “They needed a customer service and salesperson, so that’s where I started in 1993.” The experience led to her working alongside one of the top Realtors in Chicago.

Her experience as a paralegal and customer service representative comes in handy when she’s assisting clients and coordinating all the various aspects of the buying and selling process. “I have lived in several of the areas I serve,” she says. “But mostly, I’ve learned the areas by working in the industry for so many years and having a father who loved the city and was a wealth of knowledge.” Sobel’s father was an architect, builder and city planner in Chicago.

She has served new and experienced buyers and sellers in the city and suburbs for the past 31 years, expertly guiding them through all types of markets. Known for her excellent communication skills and availability to her clients, she has insight into property values in the area, which is essential throughout the transaction process. “I’m easygoing overall but firm when I need to be,” she says. “I always give people the benefit of the doubt.”

Professional and always available to clients, she walks them through process and always works to resolve any issues that come up. In the quest to get buyers and sellers what they need, she works well with other agents and always goes to battle for clients with respect.
