Lauren Schuh-Dayton loves a good challenge. Concentrating on the downtown Chicago and North Shore markets, Schuh-Dayton, vice president of sales at Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty, approaches every obstacle with 16 years of real estate experience and insight. “I always put my client first,” she says, adding that she primarily works with sellers and developers but serves buyers and investors on a referral basis. “I am very straightforward and tell it like it is, regardless of whether it’s good news or bad.”

This year, Schuh-Dayton became the exclusive listing agent for 1407 S. Michigan Ave., a brand-new luxury apartment development with 199 units. “It’s an honor to work directly with experienced developers who expect nothing less than the very best,” she says. “Being a part of such a high-end development in an area that I have believed in for years has been very exciting!”

She also sold a condo for $100,000 more than what the seller had been asking for with a different broker six months prior. “Helping a seller not only sell, but make extra money on their home is priceless,” she explains, adding that the client hadn’t believed it was possible. “It drives me crazy when I see a seller hire the wrong broker to sell their home and leave money on the table.”

Schuh-Dayton is also known for her thorough understanding of complicated transactions such as bank-owned homes and short sales. Regardless of the type of deal, she takes a hands-on approach and works tirelessly to secure the best outcome for her clients. That dedication has helped her achieve status as a Chicago Association of Realtors Top Producer. Her team also ranks among Jameson Sotheby’s top 10 teams.

On top of her professional accomplishments, Schuh-Dayton also was married, gave birth to her daughter Lily, and completed a two-year rehab project of her dream home all within the last year.
