Erica Conaty Goldman
Broker Associate
Jameson Sotheby’s International Real Estate
Though she’s relatively new to the real estate industry, Erica Goldman is already making big waves. Coming into the business with an extensive background in media, marketing and publishing, Goldman leveraged her previous experience into her real estate career with great success, being named Jameson Sotheby’s International Realty’s Rookie of the Year in 2016. “I pride myself on my work ethic and my ability to understand what my clients are trying to accomplish, and this award was a reflection of that,” Goldman tells us.
Of course, Goldman owes her success to more than that. As someone who works with a wide range of buyers and sellers with various price points, Goldman knows that you have to treat every client with the same sense of importance and understanding, whatever their budget may be. “Because I take on every client with the same degree of attention, everyone feels like they are getting 100 percent of my focus,” she says.
Goldman’s business has been growing exponentially since she first got into the industry, and one key component of that success that she highlights is the Sotheby’s Global Referral Network, which she says has been an invaluable tool for her. Everyone who knows real estate knows how important referral business is, and when we ask Goldman what past clients say about her in testimonials, she says, “The recurring themes are that I am professional, a strong negotiator, honest, responsive and knowledgeable.” She also attributes her market savvy and research as being a big part of her success.
Erica has also served on the Friends of the Prentice Board since first moving to Chicago back in 2005, and this year will be serving as Co-Chair of their Annual Gala for the fifth time. Recently, Goldman went through her first personal home purchase as a broker, and told us, “It’s been enlightening to see the process from this perspective, and I intend to utilize what I experienced in an effort to better understand and fulfill my clients’ needs.” When she isn’t working, Goldman spends her time with her husband and three children.
