Thomas Downing is executive vice president of brokerage services for @properties Christie’s International Real Estate and designated managing broker for the firm’s Winnetka office. It’s the company’s top-producing office on the North Shore, with nearly $1.2 billion in annual closed sales volume.

Downing entered real estate in 2013 after a career in business management consulting, working with Fortune 500 companies like AT&T, Disney and Pan Am. He joined @properties in 2015 and quickly established himself as a top producer. In 2016, he earned the company’s “Road to Rolex” distinction and this magazine’s Agents’ Choice Award for Rookie of the Year.

After seven years in sales, Downing transitioned to @properties’ management team in 2020, and he was promoted to executive vice president of brokerage services. In his current roles, Downing empowers agents and managing brokers through coaching, mentorship and business-development strategies while supporting areas like sales, recruiting, retention, culture and program adoption.
