Describe your look:
I prefer clean, crisp lines with an emphasis on textured fabrics, subtle and a well-tailored, polished look. I tend to stay away from baggy clothing, favoring clothing that’s comfortably fitted and fit-tailored.
What do you consider a “fashion don’t”?
A “fashion don’t” for me is either worn-out dress shoes or a torn and weathered belt. This can really undermine an otherwise polished look. It’s those small details, like a clean belt and polished shoes, that complete the appearance and reflect professionalism and care. It’s the first thing I notice when I see someone.
What item of clothing gets you the most compliments?
The most compliments have come when I wear my suits. I personally like my clothing to be well-fitted, and with my suits I make sure they are tailored accordingly. There is something special about the confidence that comes with wearing a suit that feels it was made especially for you.
Who is your style icon?
I would say it’s David Beckham, who brings that European elegance that I have always gravitated toward with his suits, style and attention to detail.
What fashion accessory do you feel naked without?
This would be a watch and my bracelets, which for me adds a personal touch, no matter how casual or dressed up I am. Without them, I really do feel that a part of me is missing.
What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired?
This would have to be my suits. I have always felt the most confident and complimented when wearing them.
Does your style reflect your personal brand? If so, how?
I certainly do feel that my style is a great reflection of my personal brand. It showcases my trustworthiness, expertise and attention to detail. Dressing sharply signals to clients that you take your work seriously. It also conveys a level of sophistication that aligns with high-end properties or discerning clients, helping me stand out in a competitive market. The polished appearance builds confidence, making clients more likely to trust you with their investment decisions, especially during the initial introduction.
Where are your favorite clothing stores or brands?
I gravitate toward brands that have that tailored, polished look and feel. Theory, Eaton and Ted Baker have great fitting shirts and textures.
What is a fashion crime you have committed in the past?
Clashing colors or textures can certainly throw off an outfit. Sometimes, the best intentions for a well-put-together look don’t quite pan out. I’m guilty of just throwing something together when in a pinch and later regretting the combination.
What decade or time period had the best fashion in your opinion?
Given my preference for well-groomed outfits that have an attention to texture and fit, I align with the fashion of the 1950s and early 1960s. This was a time when clothing emphasized structure, clean lines and a polished appearance.
What item in your closet do you wear the most?
It would have to be my dress shirts. In the summertime I like the look of a dress shirt, sleeves down with a complimenting pair of loafers. Pairing a dress shirt with shorts and loafers strikes a great balance between formal and relaxed. For me, it’s a stylish way to stay cool while maintaining a polished professional appearance.
What’s the most expensive or meaningful accessory or piece of clothing you’ve ever acquired? Do you still have it?
This would have to be my suits. I have always felt the most confident and complimented when wearing them.
What is your style advice for other people in the industry?
Dress for the clients you want to attract. Keep it polished, approachable and tailored to display your confidence. Wearing a well-fitted blazer or suit paired with comfortable, elegant shoes can make all the difference in how you’re perceived. Don’t forget, you’re not just selling properties, you’re selling trust and expertise! Your outfit is one of the first things noted and remembered about a first impression, make it memorable!
