Sometimes, you just have to check Zillow. Even if you’re not really in the market, even if it’s out of your price range … the site is always good for home fantasy inspo. And that’s what HouseFresh investigated in a recent study: Where do shoppers linger most on Zillow?
HouseFresh analyzed Zillow listings from across America to determine the most desired neighborhoods in each major city. Using the page views per day per listing, HouseFresh found the overall number of views per neighborhood — and in Chicago, Lakeview beat the bunch.
Averaging 20,456 daily views, the waterfront neighborhood stood out as the most longed-for part of the city, followed by the ritzier Gold Coast (with an average of 11,170 daily views), Lincoln Park (10,578), Streeterville (10,374) and the South Loop (8,592).
The study also provided data on Zillow’s least-searched Chicago neighborhoods. They were, in order: West Woodlawn (with an average of 101 daily views), Chicago Lawn (102), Oakland (125), Stony Island Park (170) and Heart of Chicago (192).
