What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I helped open/run an upscale boutique for Michael Jordan’s son’s close friend in central Florida.

Professional athlete.

Our parks.
What do you love most about the industry?
Meeting new people, and no day is usually the same.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
No deal is small or large enough; they are all the same to me.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Scheduling multiple showings with multiple clients.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Market, market, market, and respond to leads ASAP.
What has been your greatest accomplishment?
I worked with a renter in Rogers Park who worked every day as a cleaning lady and took the bus to and from work. All she wanted was a nice, clean apartment to live in with her cats and to keep to herself. I found her the perfect apartment. She barely met the criteria for the landlord, but we got her approved. She cried and gave me the biggest hug, and this was for an $1,100 apartment, which meant as much to me as did my first million-dollar deal.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I recently restarted “Boardwalk Empire” on HBO.
What’s your favorite meal in Chicago?
Au Cheval burger.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago?
Marina City.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Walked into an inflatable pool when showing a studio apartment.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Miami for the beaches and restaurants.

Stay with it — if you truly love real estate and architecture, just stick with it.
