This June kicks off Community Kindness at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chicago: an annual, companywide event planned by the firm’s philanthropic branch, the Kindness Foundation. During Community Kindness, all 24 BHHS Chicago offices volunteer with and donate to local organizations.

Community Kindness activities are a chance for BHHS Chicago employees to “Give Confidently,” and include food pantry collections, donation drives, Habitat for Humanity builds, beach cleanups and more.

“Initially, we celebrated a Week of Kindness each June that evolved into Kindness Month and today, events extend beyond June and are held throughout the year,” Joe Stacy, the Kindness Foundation chairman, said in a press release. “Our takeaway? Kindness is contagious.”
