Where did you grow up? Brooklyn, N.Y., but I’m still growing up.
What is your favorite free-time activity? Photography and a good movie.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I tend to my container gardens.
Growing up, what did you want to be? Nothing in particular; I thought I would be good as a shrink…my aptitude test said I would be good in the funeral industry.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Katharine Hepburn – why not?
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Downtown Chicago.
What do you love most about the industry? The 200 agents I have been working with on a regular basis since 1986.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I tell it like it is. You always know where I am coming from; I don’t keep any secrets. I’m honest and straightforward, whether you like it or not.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The biggest issue I face today is the lack of an initial phone call. I want to hear what the future customer is like, and how their personality is. I cannot get a feel for a person from an email or a tweet.

What is your favorite restaurant? Sorry, no favorites – I have too many friends in the restaurant business!
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Chicago? Surprisingly, from a distance, I love the Trump Tower – the way the light hits it at different times of the day is just spectacular. Up front though, I am not a fan.
