Mortgage Services Ill, LLC (MSI) announced that current Chief Operating Officer, Bob Swords, has been promoted and assumed the title of President in addition to his role as COO, on October 1. Mark Young remains the Chief Executive Officer.
“Bob and I have been working together in the banking industry for more than 20 years,” Young said. “He is the ideal person to ensure that MSI will continue to deliver solid financial performance and operational excellence.”
Swords Brings 30 Years of Experience
In addition to his responsibilities as COO, Swords will be responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the company.
“MSI has seen tremendous growth over the past six years, and I am committed to continuing that success,” Swords said. “I look forward to working with our entire staff to ensure that we are providing the easiest path to homeownership by offering excellent and highly responsible service, and delivering the most appropriate mortgage solutions to meet our customers’ needs.”
Swords has more than 30 years of experience in the banking and mortgage lending industry, having worked for three other financial institutions prior to jointing MSI. He is a graduate of Illinois State University, and has served on the boards and advisory councils of various local non-profit organizations. He is also a past-president of the Bloomington-Normal Jaycees.
