Sue Miller serves the real estate industry in many capacities. Miller, currently a managing broker with Coldwell Banker Honig-Bell in McHenry, teaches continuing education and pre-license courses. The Illinois Association of Realtors (IAR) thought it was time for Miller to be honored for her two-plus decades of hard work.
According to a recent press release, the IAR awarded Miller the 2013 Distinguished Service Award, which recognizes professionals who have served the organization, as well as their community.
Miller is an IAR member and boasts numerous stints on the group’s board of directors. Miller’s time spent on the board resulted in leadership positions on some IAR committees, including the Education Working Group, Technology Working Group and Grievance Committee. She is also a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, and she has previously served on the National Association of Realtors board of directors.
Aside from her work in real estate, Miller prides herself on being active in her community. She belongs to the Habitat for Humanity of McHenry, the McHenry Chamber of Commerce, the McHenry Elementary Education Foundation and Imagine McHenry County, a nonprofit devoted to community growth.
