Both Illinois Governor Pat Quinn and Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan will address Illinois Realtors at a conference in Springfield today, according to a report filed by the Daily Herald.
The two political figures, who are widely expected to compete next year for the Democratic Party’s nomination for the 2014 gubernatorial race, will be speaking at the Housing Leaders Conference, a gathering of Realtors that will open the annual IAR Capitol Conference, which will begin on Tuesday.
Madigan is a three-term attorney general, whereas Quinn, who served as lieutenant governor in 2002 and 2006, assumed the governorship in 2009 following the removal of Governor Rod Blagojevich, and won the position outright in the 2010 election.
