Realtor Melinda Jakovich has moved her team to Prudential Rubloff Properties’ Mag Mile office.

Michael Pierson and Chris Eigel, principals of Chicago real estate firm Prudential Rubloff Properties, announced the addition of Melinda Jakovich and her her team to the brokerage’s Magnificent Mile office.

In a blog post in ChicagoNow, Jakovich explained that, “it was just time to make a move after 17 years at Coldwell [Banker],” and that she chose to join the Prudential Rubloff family because of how much the brokerage has accomplished in a short time frame. 

“[Pierson] and [Eigel] have done amazing things with the brand in short period of time,” she said. “It’s a company with great energy.”

Jakovich will bring with her many years of real estate experience, having sold over $310 million in sales to date. She has a specialty in buyer’s representation and relocation, and has worked alongside architects and developers in providing them with market trend data for projects like Mariano’s Market Hall, City Club and 420 W. Ontario.

Because of her efforts, Jakovich has been deemed a “top producing luxury specialist for the past 15 years,” and has been recognized in the Chicago Association of Realtors’ list of Top 1 percent of realtors for 2011; the Outstanding Sales Achievement Award from 1996 to present; and was a five-time winner of the Bronze Award in 2000, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2011.

And because of Jakovich’s contributions to the real estate industry, and her decorated career, Rick Sobin, senior vice president and managing broker of the firm’s Magnificent Mile office, expressed his confidence in having Jakovich on the team.

“Her team will be an excellent addition to our Mag Mile office and I look forward to supporting them as they grow their business to even greater heights,” said Sobin.

Outside the realm of the real estate industry, Jakovich has served on the Auxiliary Board of the Ronald McDonald House. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Northwestern University.
