This week  in real estate, according to Chicago.Curbed.com, R. Kelly’s former Lakeview mansion (the one where the infamous sex tape was filmed) has went under contract. Curbed notes this isn’t the first time the converted 1885 church at 1010 W. George Street that R. Kelly left in 2002 has went under contract in recent years.

Due to financing hold ups and other snags the house never closed, but with the new buyer’s status, this won’t likely be a problem. Though Coldwell Banker agent Shawn Daly can’t yet reveal the buyer, he told Curbed they are a “very, very high-profile person in the business world who came from out of the country. This person is a very young, very hip.”

According to sfgate.com, Russian billionaire Yuri Milner bought a Los Altos Hills, Calif. mansion this week for $100 million, the highest price ever recorded for a home in the U.S.

The 25,500 sq ft mansion sits on 18 acres and is fashioned after an 18th century French chateau. It was completed in 2009 and features a spa, wine cellar, ballroom, tennis courts, and a gym.

Milner, 49, is the founder of Digital Sky Technologies, which has investments in tech giants like Facebook and Groupon.

And back in Chicago:

A number of box office hits have been filmed in Chicago in recent years (The Dark Knight, Transformers 3, Meet the Fockers, The Dilemna, Public Enemies, etc.), and ChicagolandRealEstateForum.com reports that yet another blockbuster will be shot in the Windy this summer.

The upcoming Superman movie will be filmed in various Chicagoland locations. Opting not to film among the downtown skyscrapers seen in “The Dark Knight,” the Superman film calls for the more subtle backdrop of towns like Aurora and Plano.

“Superman: Man of Steel” will star Henry Cavill as the main role, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Superman’s foster dad, and Diane Lane as his mom.
