Ms. Fotopoulos’ responsibilities include developing management talent and helping agents build their leadership skills. Fotopoulos will also continue her responsibilities as branch manager, overseeing more than 150 real estate agents and managing the daily activities of the offices.

“As a residential real estate leader for nearly 30 years, Nina has been a driving force in the success of our offices and is very deserving of this leadership position,” says Jim McEneaney, senior regional vice president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. “Nina’s market expertise and skill set in developing agents to their greatest potential will be exciting to watch.”

Fotopoulos began her career in 1982 as a sales associate in the Hinsdale office where she has served the community for nearly three decades. With a technology background, she is a key player in the company’s use of technology and social media for the agents and property marketing programs.

“I love this profession and am excited to be taking on this new leadership role in providing top-notch service to our clients,” Fotopoulos says. “I look forward to sharing more of my knowledge with our agents and helping them grow as leaders.”

Fotopoulos said she believes a truly effective Realtor needs to be a strong negotiator, be able to define a client’s objectives and be able to have difficult discussions with them presenting all of the critical information they need to make the best decisions possible.

“We strive to establish lifelong relationships with our clients and be trusted advisors to them because buying a home is more than just an investment; it is a place to create lasting friendships, raise your children, or be a dream place to retire,” she says. “My best advice is to base decisions on today’s market, not yesterday’s, and not tomorrow’s.”
