With the holidays at hand and the needy in mind, OwnACondo.com and RealEstateAuctions.com took part in the 2010 Food Drive sponsored by the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors (MORe).

“The need for food by families and individuals around Chicagoland is immense these days,” says Anthony Caciopo, the food drive coordinator and Director of Website Content for OwnACondo.com and RealEstateAuctions.com. “According to the Northern Illinois Food Bank, nearly one in 10 Illinois residents received emergency food from one of its partner agencies. Think of that. One in 10 of your neighbors, one in 10 of the people you pass in the street.”
The collection resulted in more than 200 individual non-perishable food items that were delivered to the MORe office in Downers Grove on the morning of December 22, the last day of the drive. All items in the drive went to the Northern Illinois Food Bank and South Suburban PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter).
